3 Reasons to NOT Sell in a Down Market
Let's talk about three reasons not to sell your property in a down market. The first is if you can stay there and be happy for the next three, five, seven, maybe ten years, then why sell now in a down market? It may take several years for this market to recover and or get to the pricing that we saw six months ago. So if you're happy there, stay there, make adjustments to the property if you need to.
The next reason you shouldn't sell is if you have the ability to maybe rent out your current property and positive cash flow. If you don't need all that equity that you have in the property and can go buy something else or go somewhere else, then maybe that's a considerate consideration and an option. It's something I did with one of my properties in a down market. I kept it and rent it out and I now make have cash it positive cash flow each and every month from it.
The third reason is if you don't have anywhere to go, if you haven't thought about what your next step in life is or where that journey will take you and you don't have any definitive plans, then there isn't.
